I think a rogue, for example, should be good at all facets of roguery, not just specifically good at, for example, stealth, or sleight of hand, or mechanics, or else piss-poor at all of the above, or else to run around with a specific group of characters picked to each cover each other's ridiculous drawbacks (such as a silver-tongued influencer who somehow can't bluff his way past a guard who's blind drunk, being covered for by someone who can be caught red-headed holding the murder weapon, having been overheard shouting 'Die you brother-lover, I'll see you in hell and kill you again!' and still convince the pursuers that the guy who did it ran that-a-way, but who can't convince someone who's looking to deal to deal, being covered for by a guy who could sell seawater to a sailor on a ship at sea but who couldn't intimidate a child, being covered for by a guy who can convince a dragon they know the Dragon Rend Shout and this is a fight the dragon should back down from, in the wrong game, in the wrong franchise, etc). I don't like the pathetic number of skill points PoE gives per level-up.
